Courtney practices in the areas of criminal law and civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defence litigation. In 2014 she graduated from McGill University in Montreal, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.). Prior to attending law school, Courtney studied at McMaster University where she received an Honours B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies (2007), and an M.A. in Philosophy with a focus on philosophy of law (2009). Courtney articled at Sullivan Festeryga, and joined the firm as an associate in 2015.

Courtney lived in France for a year before attending law school and loves to visit Europe whenever she gets a chance. In Hamilton she enjoys participating in the theatre community behind the scenes. Most recently she designed the set for Theatre Ancaster’s production of The Producers (2015) and assisted with set decoration for Shrek: The Musical (2016).
