Ian joined Sullivan Festeryga LLP in January 2011. Before completing his Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in 2007, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from McMaster University in 2003. Ian received numerous scholarships including the McMaster University Senate Scholarship and the Dalhousie Entrance Scholarship. In his first four years of practice as a lawyer, he practiced criminal and family law to gain trial experience. Starting in 2012 he devoted his practice to insurance litigation, with a specialty in liability disputes, summary judgment motions and the OPCF44R (Family Protection Endorsement). He continues to advocate for a wide variety of causes, at all levels of court.

Ian is a guitar fanatic. He has a YouTube channel of cover songs, plays in a number of cover bands and would gladly sit for hours jamming. He has a wife, Jaime, and two daughters who spend their time with him skiing, playing volleyball, and helping him to renovate their home.
