Janice practices in the areas of criminal law and civil litigation. She joined the firm as an associate in 2018 after completing her articles at Sullivan Festeryga. She earned her law degree at the University of Windsor. During law school, Janice worked as a Group Leader at Community Legal Aid (“CLA”) supervising groups of law students and represented low-income individuals in matters relative to Provincial Offences, Criminal law, Small Claims Court, and Landlord and Tenant Board. She prepared for and independently conducted trials prior to graduation. She has successfully obtained a dismissal at trial for a “Drive with Handheld Communication Device” charge, and has obtained judgment in favour of her client in Small Claims Court regarding a motor vehicle repair matter.

Janice has had a life long dream of becoming a lawyer since she was in grade 5. She is conversant in Korean. When she isn’t working, she enjoys playing the piano, dragonboating with her team in Toronto, weightlifting, training in martial arts, and playing basketball, volleyball, badminton, and squash.
