Practice Areas

Jasmina is a partner at Sullivan Festeryga, practicing primarily in civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defense and accident benefits litigation. She also devotes a portion of her practice to administrative law, including human rights and refugee work.

Whether working on behalf of institutions or individuals, Jasmina takes an assertive but practical approach to advocating on behalf of her clients. She prides herself on resolving disputes fairly, efficiently and in a cost-conscientious manner. In addition to achieving success outside of the courtroom, she regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, License Appeal Tribunal, Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, and the Human Rights Tribunal.

She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Windsor, graduating in the top 10% of her class. She was fortunate enough to secure a summer position in her first year of law school with Sullivan Festeryga which would soon become her home away from home. Prior to pursuing a legal education, Jasmina graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University, with a joint Honours B.A. in History and Art History.

Devoted to the Hamilton community, Jasmina brings her infectious drive for success to her volunteer and extracurricular pursuits. She has committed her time to the Art Gallery of Hamilton, is past chair of the Miles for Smiles Auction Committee, and more recently served on the Board of Directors of Hamilton Crime Stoppers.

Jasmina is a Jane Austen enthusiast, avid supporter of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (though sadly she plays no instrument of her own), and she even attempts to get creative with a canvas every once in a while. She believes that cheese should be its own food group and has spent over a decade crafting the perfect pesto. Above all things, she values her time with her husband, their beautiful children, and with her bow, “Raven”, at the local archery range.
