Joe focuses his practice in the area of civil litigation, including insurance defence work. He graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1978 and obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1981.
Joe has been involved in the practice of law for the past 35 years. His main focus has always been Insurance Law disputes, including Personal Injury (both motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle), Accident Benefits, Commercial Host and property losses. Having completed the Advanced ADR Workshop offered by Stitt Feld Handy in conjunction with the Faculty of Law of the University of Windsor, he has expanded his legal practice to include offering his services as a private Mediator and Arbitrator.
The complexity, time and cost of seeking a solution to problems in the courts has demonstrated the obvious advantages of the mediation process.
Joe is currently able to provide dates on fairly short notice, a definite benefit to parties who are unable to wait a year or two for a mediator. If parties wish, they can mediate with Joe in comfortable meeting rooms at our office, without any additional cost to the parties funding the mediation. In addition, he is always happy to travel beyond Hamilton.
