Simran Sandhu is joining the firm as an articling student after graduating from Queen’s University Faculty of Law. During law school, Simran gained valuable experience through her work with Queen’s Legal Aid supporting clients through their legal issues, conducting legal research and developing her advocacy skills.

She has worked as a summer student learning about Family Law, Indigenous Law, Criminal Law and Wills and Estates. Through this work, she developed a strong interest in serving clients with compassion and professionalism.

Simran was actively involved in the Queen’s South Asian Law Students Association, Queen’s Law Sikh Student Association, and Pro Bono Students Canada. She completed a semester abroad, where she gained exposure to international legal perspectives.

Before attending law school, Simran earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology from York University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. As the first law student, and ultimately lawyer, in her family, Simran is proud to bring dedication and resilience to her legal career.

Outside of work, Simran enjoys baking, swimming, and spending time with her dog. Whether she is staying active or trying a new recipe, she values balance, creativity, and time with family and friends.
