David is a Partner with Sullivan Festeryga and has been with the firm since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1994. David represents corporations, insurers and their insureds in actions across Ontario. His practice focuses on all aspects of Insurance Defence issues including motor vehicle, large property losses, product liability, professional negligence, occupiers’ liability and coverage issues. David has appeared in all levels of Court across Ontario.

David has been actively involved with the Canadian Defence Lawyers since its inception over twenty years ago. CDL is a National organization representing the interests of civil defence lawyers with representation from coast to coast. He has been on its board since 2010. He acted as CDL’s President for 2016-17 and is currently the CDL Past President.
David is also a member of the Defence Research Institute, CDL’s sister organization in the United States. He has organized numerous continuing legal education conferences for CDL and has spoken at their events. He has also been speaker at continuing legal education events hosted by the Hamilton Law Association as well as the Canadian Society of Medical Examiners.
Over the years David has also been involved in the community through groups such as Big Brothers, Banyan Community Services and Crime Stoppers of Hamilton, serving on their boards at various times.
David spends his free time with his wife and two wonderful children skiing in the winter and encouraging them in the multitude of activities in which they are always involved. Dave is also a frustrated musician.
