Gerry was called to the Bar in 1978. After 42 years practising Corporate, Estate and Real Property Law, predominately as a sole practitioner. Gerry joined Sullivan Festeryga in 2021, as General Counsel.

Gerry’s clients rely on his extensive experience and in-depth expertise which has developed through many years of systematically investigating, analyzing and resolving matters of law to decisively meet the needs of each unique client.

Gerry has been a leading force as a volunteer and benefactor in both Hamilton and Burlington, aiding, assisting and supporting numerous organizations and initiatives. Some of those organizations are: Choices Foundation Inc., Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, Burlington Food Bank, Mission Services, Burlington Sound of Music, Hamilton BIA, to name only a few. Gerry has also been an instructor for Bar Admission, teaching Corporate Law, Taxation, Estate Planning and Administration and Legal Skills (1990-2004) and Mohawk College teaching the Law Clerk Course (1978-1988). Gerry continues to support and nurture colleagues and lawyers new to the profession as a Mentor.

When Gerry is not focusing on legal matters, he enjoys playing his Martin guitar, cruising the water ways of Ontario in his 1964 Chris Craft Cavalier Cruiser and creating a model train Christmas village masterpiece on a grand scale for his 11 grandchildren to enjoy.
